Nueva cultura de salud laboral

La Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS) impulsa acciones concretas en el ámbito laboral para crear una nueva cultura de salud con el Programa Nacional de Bienestar Emocional y Desarrollo Humano en el Trabajo (PRONABET), a fin de mejorar el estado nutricional de los trabajadores, prevenir las enfermedades vinculadas con una alimentación deficiente que afectan la productividad y competitividad de la mano productiva y las empresas.

Este ordenamiento establece que los patrones podrán optar, de manera voluntaria o concertada, por otorgar a sus trabajadores ayuda alimentaria en alguna de las siguientes modalidades o mediante combinaciones de éstas, pero no en efectivo:

° Comidas proporcionadas a los trabajadores en comedores, restaurantes o establecimientos de consumo de alimentos.

° Despensas, ya sea mediante canastillas de alimentos o por medio de vales de despensa.

Esta Ley establece que los gastos generados por este concepto son deducibles de impuestos para los patrones; además, los ingresos correspondientes del trabajador se considerarán exentos por prestaciones de previsión social para el trabajador y no formarán parte de la base de las aportaciones de seguridad social.
